Applicants not located in Europe will be charged an additional €495 for a UK Limited company formation. This provides a legal European presence and will be sufficient to register many .EU domain names.
.EU Refund Policy
If a .EU application is unsuccessful for any reason, the domain name fee of €18 will be credited to the customer's Europe Registry account, which they may use to apply for another .EU domain name. All .EU sunrise fees and .EU registration fees are non-refundable.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure they are eligible for a .EU domain name, and can provide any required documentary evidence. Refunds will not be given for applications with incorrect or incomplete information.
Application requirements for .EU Domains
An Applicant for a .EU Domain, whether during the Sunrise period or later, must meet the geographical requirements applicable to all .eu domain name holders as follows:
Companies and organizations having their registered office, central administration or principal place of business within the European Community; or
Individuals - natural persons - resident within the European Community.
Applicants that do not meet this requirement may still apply, by registering a UK Limited company in addition to their domain name. This provides a legal European presence and will be sufficient to register your .EU domain name during sunrise phase 2.
